Every year opening day of Seattle’s boating season is the first Saturday in May. For a century Seattle Yacht Club has hosted a 4-5 day series of events.

Saturday, after the morning races of the U of W Crew Invitational, there is the weekend highlight of the Boat Parade, with many categories (decorated, antique, bridge salute, and sometimes float planes and fire boats). It's a don't miss event. Come sit on the grass with us and watch the parade go by.

Carpool with your friends (there is NO (NO!) parking allowed at SYC during this weekend). Ask your friends at SSYC where they have had luck in the past!

We often stay all day, then find food at SYC or QCYC for dinner and stay for a dance. It's a fun and festive day.
