SSYC's Goosebumps 2025 Race Series is Off to a Great Start!
Jan 12, this past Sunday, 31 boats came out to Lake Union to race in sight of the Space Needle on a day with decent wind and decent weather for January in the PNW. Special thanks to Committee Boat Roger Drill and the entire committee for welcoming, starting and scoring Lake Union’s winter beer can race. (A beer can race is a relaxed boat race held at yacht clubs and nautical clubs. The races are known for being fun and social, with simple rules and an honor system). SSYC hosts the Goosebumps Race Series for the community of sailors in the Seattle area.
