As we enter into this election cycle and grapple with some important decisions, the board has done an amazing amount of work to educate the membership about SSYC bylaws and requirements for our 501c7 compliance. In particular our parliamentarian, Ann MacFarlane of Jurassic Parliament talk a class that included 16 SSYC members. If you missed it you missed some good stuff. If you have a bit of time, tune in and see what Ann had to say. CLASS RECORDING

Dear Dancin' Friends,
Our annual trip to Mystery Bay and Port Ludlow started out wonderfully at Mystery Bay, with a bit of pre-functioing in Pt. Townsend. Two newer members, John Mc. and Marcie K. came out with their gorgeous boats and full SSYC crews to join other members for quite an amazing weekend. All in all roughly fifteen folks joined in the raft up at Mystery Bay. The Commodore and Past Commodore were unable to attend the Port Ludlow section of the trip but we have heard great things. Boat on!
Our amazing Past Commodore, Ro Berkley, is heading a committee to look into options to recommend to the board to potentially replace our Casual Membership structure. Any questions and ideas can be directed to our current Past Commodore. Thank you for your involvement and commitment to SSYC development. Better Boaters, Better Friends!
This year’s 29th annual Race to Fight Hunger has opened up for registration and is available through the calendar on the website. This year’s race is September 25th and Dan Kerns is our race chair with Roger Drill putting Hannah L into service as the Committee Boat. Thank you skippers for backing our 29th annual Race to Fight Hunger. Any questions can be directed to the Vice Commodore, Dennis Flynn.
Keep current on all the latest happenings at SSYC!
