Monday boating meetings for the rest of January and most of February will be held at:
Shoreline Elks - 14625 15th Ave NE, Shoreline
The meeting on 1/22/24 was well-atttended and everyone seemed to like the venue. We will be meeting in the bar and have it all to ourselves, as the Shoreline Elks is usually closed on Mondays. It is 1/2 mile east of I-5 off exit 175 (NE 145th St). The bar will be open to us, but no food sales at this time. We will, however, be having a potluck on 1/29. Bring something yummy to share!
Plenty of free parking!
Goosebumps will continue for the next 3 Sundays! Committe help is always appreciated. We also need cookies to hand out to to all the racers. If you can do either or both, please contact Bunny, Race Chair.

There were too few registrations to be able to hold this event. We will have an event to honor all our past commodores and welcome new officers on Monday, March 11. There will also be a dance that night. This will be free to annual members.

We celebrated our last meeting of 2023 with a very festive Holiday Ball on 12/18/23! Everyone seemed to have a great time.
We will meet again on Monday, 1/8/24.
The Goosebumps Race Series begins Sunday, 1/14/24, and will continue each Sunday through 2/18/24. Please contact Race Chair, Bunny Alexandroni, if you can help out.
Then on Saturday, 1/20/24, SSYC will be having its annual Commodore's Ball. This will be an elegant event to honor outgoing Commodore Bunny Alexandroni, as well as all Past SSYC Commodores.
Thanks to all who turned out for our "Sweater Extravaganza" at Wedgwood Broiler on 12/11. Congratulations to Nicole for taking first place and Adrienne for second place.
Next Monday, 12/18, will be our annual Holiday Ball at the Ballard Elks. Jan Peterson will be providing the music. This dance is open to all adults!
The 2024 Board is in need of a Secretary. The duties of the Secretary include taking minutes at board meetings and writing them up. Please contact SSYC if you are interested in this important position.
On Monday, December 4, SSYC members approved a few ammendments to the bylaws. Updated bylaws will be available soon under the Member's Home page.
In addition, elections for Board officers for 2024 were held 12/4. The new elected Board for 2024 is:

SSYC raised $7000 for Northwest Harvest in 2023. Please join us as we present our check on Saturday, December 2, at 9:30, at the Everett Safeway (5802 134th Pl SE, Everett).
SSYC's annual business meeting is Monday. 12/4/23 at the Ballard Elks. There will be annual reports, election of officers for 2024, and voting on some bylaw changes. It is important for all annual members to attend this important meeting. Annual voting members should have received all the information. Please let us know if you did not.

Elections for the 2024 Board are coming up on December 4. Please plan to attend the meeting to cast your vote (annual members only). There will also be a vote on some bylaw changes. We have been discussing those and will continue on 11/27. Voting on those changs will also occur on 12/4.
